Engage! How clubs can win with football supporters

Supporters Direct has today published new guidance setting out the different ways that football supporters engage with their clubs. By highlighting examples of both good and bad practice, it aims to provide templates and tools for both supporters and clubs to implement best practice in engagement.


We believe it is important to recognise all forms of supporter engagement and have created the guidance to explore the different types of supporter involvement including Supporter Liaison Officers, Structured Dialogue, Supporter Directors before looking at supporter ownership itself.


Thanks are due to the many contributors including Roger Ellis, Kristine Green, Peter Lloyd, Stuart Dykes, Ashley Brown and Nicola Hudson. We are also indebted to the individual case study contributors all of whom served to create a practical tool for both supporters and clubs alike.
