Supporters Direct are teaming up with BBC Match Of The Day Kickabout to try to encourage children to understand how they can be a bigger part of their football clubs as well as emphasising the importance of volunteering.
The BBC programme have been linked up with Bath City FC and will be filming down at Twerton Park this Saturday. Bath City FC have a regular group of young match day volunteers who help do a range of things at the ground each week - tasks including setting up welcome banners and PA equipment, meeting and greeting fans, organising even younger pitchside flag-wavers and generally making Twerton Park a welcoming venue. And the story has caught the the imagination of SD and producers alike.
Carole Banwell, General Manager of Bath City FC, said of the clubs junior volunteer team: "Our young match-day volunteers do a fantastic job on match-days. They make a vital contribution to the day, and we're delighted that MOTD Kickabout will be with us on Saturday to highlight that contribution!"
This will be the first feature on the show representing the ethos behind Supporters Direct as well as the superb work at Bath City to encourage and support young volunteers.
If you are near Twerton Park on Saturday, come down and enjoy watching the filming take place and get BBC MOTD Kickabout on record to ensure you see the partnership feature.
