Ten years ago a meeting in The Sandon pub in Liverpool saw 350 supporters vote to set up a supporters union and Spirit of Shankly (SOS) was formed.
SOS have been encouraging supporters to speak up, raise concerns and have influence. Committee members, past and present, have given their time as volunteers to give the fans a voice. Members and supporters have turned out at meetings, on marches and at protests. Both these things have had a huge impact.
Football without fans is nothing. Football fans with a voice is massive and we can ensure those in charge know it.
Well done for reaching 10 years SOS. Here’s to the next 10.
