2018 has been quite the year for volunteering and we wanted to run a competition to try to celebrate the brilliant volunteers that have gone above and beyond this year.

Through the first twelve days of December we asked you to nominate the volunteer you thought deserved a prize.  The prize for Day One to Eleven was a football print of choice from Football Stadium Photography and for Day Twelve the lucky winner will be getting a bumper package of the following prizes:

We are pleased to announce that the following people have won some awesome prizes:

Day One has been won by Paul Carter - Nominated by Steve Doran* for never missing a Morecambe FC match in 7+ years home and away, regularly drives the #SardinesOnTour minibus and being a founder member and chairman for 2 years, of Fans Club of Morecambe (prior to the formation of Shrimps Trust) and continues to volunteer

Day Two has been won by Chelsie Wilson.  Nominated by George Williams* for her work as Macclesfield Town volunteer photographer.  She attends every home and away game to take action pictures for the Club and Supporters social media pages. Fully deserves to win a SD prize.

Day Three has been won by Marie Splarn.  Nominated by Cathy J* for all the volunteer work she does at the local athletics club.

Day Four has been won by Deano.  Nominated by Heidi Langham* for taking a fledgling team of volunteer match-day SLO’s Lincoln City FC under his wing and for always been a source of encouragement and advice. An excellent role model.

Day Five had no valid entries and thus the prize will be given to a runner up on Day 12.

Day Six has been won by Rob Lewis. Nominated by Rachael Dilloway* for all his work at Shrewsbury Town Supporters Parliament.

Day Seven has been won by Tom Baines Senior.  Nominated by Tom Baines Junior* for all the work he does for a West midlands Under 11's side.

Day Eight has been won by Martin Cloake. Nominated by Lawrence Bromley* for his tireless work for Spurs fans in what must be on the the most challenging years for any supporters trust ever. Angry fans, obtuse club communication, homeless team playing at two 'home' venues and yet they resolutely stand up for fans day in, day out.

Day Nine has been won by Marion Needham. Nominated by Nicola Cave for her tireless work as Chester FC society secretary for so many years.

Day Ten has been won by Kevin Morley. Nominated by Lindsey Warwick* for all the work he does as a match-day SLO at Lincoln City FC . He has ensured travelling Imps get to over 400 consecutive away games and recently looked after 50 school children plus all the away fans at Accrington Stanley. Lindsey says has a heart of gold.

Day 11 has been won by Keith Riley.  Nominated by Rob Street* for his work raising thousands of pounds for Billericay Town FC over many years and volunteering as away match secretary. A true volunteering legend and Billericay Town FC Supporters Trust member.

Day 12 saw all nominations from Days one to eleven entered into our biggest bumper prize package and has been won by Richard Mathers. The winning nomination came from by David Batte* on Day 3.  He nominated Richard for his tireless work on supporters trust business, stating that Richard gives up a lot of personal time for the future of Hull City.

Runner up for Day 12 is Dave Roberts.  Nominated by Kristine Green* for his putting in a significant number of hours in (often when on holiday!) to the Mariners Trust. An invaluable link between fans and club Dave will be receiving the prize from Day 5.

*The great news is that if you nominated a person who went onto win you will also be receiving a print of choice from Football Stadium Photography for your kindness.

Could all winners please contact for more information on your prize.

Thank you to everyone that entered the competition and to all those volunteers who put in hours of work to better their communities and sports teams.  Sport without volunteers is nothing.

Thanks must also go to all of our partners (Football Stadium photography, Hallyink, Pitch Publishing, deCoubertin Publishers and Divine Chocolate) for providing such great prizes.

Look out for more competitions in 2019.

Well done to Keith Riley & indeed Rob Street for winning Day 11.
Both of these guys are great ambassadors for both Billericay Town FC & Non League.
Well done also to the other winners. Top stuff.
